This case study highlights how to improve women's participation in artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM), complementing the IGF's previous report, Women in Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining: Challenges and opportunities for greater participation.

The case study includes interviews with women working in ASM, presenting perspectives that shed light on practical solutions to the recurring challenges they face. Interviewees include miners, miners' group leaders and practitioners, and members of academia.
