Phase One - 2004

Three background papers have been prepared to the Trilateral Cooperation to Promote the Protection of Water Quality Through Sustainable Agriculture. The first paper (PDF - 155 kb) focuses on the water quality issues, the problems the three countries are facing and the practices that create these problems. The second paper (PDF - 137 kb) focuses on the responses the three countries offer to prevent these problems and/or mitigate their impacts, approaches to changing agricultural practices and the challenges they face in finding solutions. The third paper lists suggestions for possible areas of trilateral cooperation.
