The Working Group welcomed a proposal from the Government of the Republic of Korea to organize an intersessional regional meeting on ISDS reform with the objectives of raising awareness in the Asia-Pacific region of the current work of the Working Group\, and providing input to the current discussions. It was clarified that the meeting would be purely informational and that no decisions would be made. It was noted that the intersessional regional meeting would be organized jointly with the Secretariat as well as other interested organizations. It was stated that the intersessional regional meeting could be held in late August or early September of 2018 in Korea and in conjunction with the Trade Law Forum organized by the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RCAP). It was further mentioned that while the focus of the intersessional meeting would be to provide a forum for high-level government representatives from the Asia-Pacific region\, it would be open to all those invited to the Working Group. It was also mentioned that the agenda of the inter-sessional meeting would be made available to States in advance and that a summary report would be submitted to the next session of the Working Group for its consideration.
